Prominent union members call for FNV board to stand down

A number of prominent members of the FNV trade union federation are calling for the resignation of chairwoman Agnes Jongerius and the rest of the board, the Financieele Dagblad reports.

‘Better no board than a bad board’, the members say in a statement. The signatories include officials who have worked at all the country’s biggest companies and sectors, the paper says.
In particular, members are critical of the lack of transparency in decision-making and the defensive approach.
Jongerius came under fire earlier this year after a rebellion by members who wanted a rethink on FNV agreement with plans to reform the corporate pension system.
